the kids

i really wanted to do something special for my wife for christmas. she works so hard. she is a stay at home mom and i am constantly inspired by how she holds our life together. i knew i wanted to do a painting of the kids for her but as i began to rough out some ideas the more i thought it would be special if they were not formal renderings of the kids but rather a snapshot of our them that would freeze a moment in time. an image that, years from now would instantly take us back to the crazy days we are living now. everything from the ground-up goldfish cracker to the leaky sippy cup is represented.  i think it paid off,  jenny was so touched when she saw what i had done.
