Super Big Micro Art!

This weekend was the opening for the super big micro show at gallery nucleus. i was so excited because this was the first time i had my work shown at a gallery. my whole career has been about matching existing styles and even a majority of that doesn't even get seen on screen.don't get me wrong, i love what i do, animation is very collaborative and it is only by working with other artists that the movies we make come out as good as they do (i.e. tangled). but, to have art displayed that is personal to me and be recognized for that is very thrilling! what follows are my finished pieces for the show as well as some early versions. i drew them with brown ink and then stained the watercolor paper with tea. a different flavor for every piece. then once they dried, i hit them up with a little watercolor.

to see the whole show, a staggering 150 pieces, check out the gallery's website. there are still some great pieces for sale.
